I'm sure they are forged steel standard Ford issue.

No point spending more unless you want a stoker crank.

Trying to find a good standard one that hasn't been ground to death seems to an issue for me............

The real good standard cranks out there are also good money so the leap to the next level doesn't seem a big a jump as I first thought - especially is I can pick up a deal.

My Engine is spec'd for reasonable power, and I'm looking at a bullet-proof build.

If going Arrow's or Farndon will allow peace of mind when hammering on track then I'm prepared to pay the extra.

Standard crank is superb, but I can see the OP's point that he cant go and buy a new one of those, so a new other make one is better than a knackered standard one.

My advice is avoid like the plague any cheap steel crank, if going aftermarket it needs to be a decent make like arrrow, not some random piece of rubbish for a grand off ebay.
If you are thinking rather than spend 500 on a mint standard crank you'll spend 1000 on a cheap aftermarket steel one, I would say thats a foolish decision to be making.

PM steveboyslim about it, he can normally get a good deal on arrow products.

Arrow cranks are good, then send it to vibration free to sort it 100% with all your other parts around it
