Rs2000 4x4, power info please
Just thinking of plans. What sort of power can the drivetrain take, i.e diff, box etc???

They are hard to get more power from for reasonable money mate. Gearbox's are ok but The transfer boxes are very weak

Not true these days!
no more expensive than building a zetec turbo really.
plenty of parts availible, jump over on
www.rs2000-16v.com its the only place you will get sensible info on the rs2000.
the 4x4 system seems to handle 300bhp quite easily.
yes there are some which fail but its proven that the transfere box's fail due to lack of oil and not the power put through them.

they are much stronger than people give them credit for, I agree with Mark 300 sounds about right
