I recently read a post somewhere on here that said something like " it isn't hard to make them tilt".

Looking at a parts graphic, it does look as if the tilt mechanism is actually in the seats, but without a tilt lever or (presumably) the lift cables.

Has anyone successfully converted a 4-door Recaro to a tiltable version?

What parts are needed and where could I get them?

 

At a guess, as long as there is a mounting point to locate the lever its possible, or might be less messing about to just buy a pair of tilting seats and swap the Truman over?

 

Swap the trim, that should read!?

 

You could dismantle the cloth seats and swap the leather over and cut the hole in the side for the lift knob.

I've not done it myself but I have swapped covers between seats to make a mint set up so I'm pretty sure its possible.
