Default Cheap Motorsport - Autograss

anyone done any cheap motor sport like Auto Grass. Myself and a couple of mates want a new hobbie and been thinking something like auto grass would be ideal.

Anyone done it already or got any info? Or know of any other motor sports which use cheap std cars and are cheap to enter.

We don't necessarily want to join a competitive league of anything. Just want to do it at a really amateur level as cheap as possible at venues near us (Berks/Bucks area). Looking to just have a day out and a laugh messing about with cars really.

Hello. There are loads of cheap sports you can get into, not just autograss, there's banger racing, autotests, sprints, hill climbs and road rallying. Best thing you van do is find a local motor motor club (google your local town motorclub, normally there's one near by). Then go to a meering with them, they are bound to be helpful and have people in all knids of budget motorsports. Hope that helps.

Sunil,

you want to join the Middlesex Automobile Club mate as they do these sorts of events.

Im looking to join and do a couple of events once my car is ready.

autograss can be cheap depending on the class you choose as some of the top class 9's use touring car spec motors and classs 7 and 10 have 2(yes 2 of everything) fully tuned hayabusa/r1 etc engines. its as cheap as you want it to be really.

Class 3 is quite cheap. RWD upto 2 litre (non turbo)

Class 7's are awsome, twin bike engines running 14000rpm against Supercharged V8's
