Considering its a reshell it doesn't tell you much about the reshelling.... If they used a 2nd hand shell it's no longer a Rouse as you MUST use the new shells ID or its classed as ringing. The ONLY way it can keep its original ID is if you use a brand new shell with receipts. This is what the DVLA told me when I had a load of trouble with a car I bought.

The rules were different back then, you were allowed to use a secondhand shell but the donor must have had a valid V5 doc and the car then takes the ID of the donor shell.

So it's a normal saph cosworth with a half rouse bodykit!

The things that make the rouse special he's not even bother to photograph

Seats
Front and rear bumper spoilers
Engine bay with original Rouse Turbo
The rolled front arches ( its not original so won't have these )

You could specify what build number you wanted so probs not the first to be made?
Also every Rouse came with special paperwork!
Without the original seats and engine setup it's just a Saph Cossie with half a rouse bodykit

Just an EBay dreamer hoping so fool will think its the real deal

You say rolled front arches.I take it thats just the front wings.

Is there nothing else different between the rouse shell and a normal saff shell.

yep rolled front wings, also had extra sound deading, luggage rack straps in the boot, ran a different compound TCA bushes, front seats, colour coded C-pillar covers, specially built turbo for Rouse Sports, adapter plate on the exhaust manifold. Theres probs more can't remember off the top of my head

regardless the car in the ebay auction won't go up in value and certainly isn't a rare limited edition Rouse Sport

Agree with Silky.
It is no longer a Rouse, just a sapphire with Rouse parts.
Only really worth a what a normal sapphire is worth.
Unlikely to go up to genuine Rouse prices complete.
Must take that number off the Rouse list

If they used a brand new shell ( remember it was only a few months old when it rolled so they were easily available) then it will retain Its I'd and IMO is still a rouse, if it didn't then no it's not.
How many rs500's were reshelled into new shells and are still called rs500's??
All of them I bet!!!!!

thats exactly what i was thinking ^

id say its still a Rouse if it was reshelled early in its life, if i bought it, id definately be getting it repainted in Moonstone to make it that bit more 'original'

If it was done useing all the bits that were on the rolled car then its still a rouse lol. (its pretty unlikely that when it was re shelled the people who did it thought to them selfs right we will leave these bits off) Its only a saff shell with a few different bits bolted to it so its one with history and will be a cheap one but really wouldent bother me if i went to look at it and liked it. And as for the rolled front arches if thats the only body difference then its not hard to get that sorted is it lol

If you look at picture 3 you can clearly see the top of the wing-backed seats

You can tell by the seat bases that it has the proper seats in.
