I know a proper garage would be ideal, but I was thinking about purchasing a steel storage container for storing cars, but positioned on a concrete slab.
What is the advantages or disadvantages in using one of these containers?
I was thinking of security as well. Has anybody used the above? Would there be a problem with airflow or are these airtight? Can you get these in different types. Common ones would be 20 or 40 ft long. Can you get these insulated? I suppose I could istall insulation inside and timber boards on the floor.
Any comments would be welcome.

 

condensation is the most likely problem.

 

beat me to it, my uncle uses a small container for his fishing tackle and mountain bikes, condensation is a joke, I told him to add some ventalation

 

Yes would need ventiltation and possibly a humidifier in the colder months, be better off with a carcoon and a cheaper type pop up large garden shed imo would look more civil too depending on where your keeping it i suppose?

 

IF you ventilate them they are better . If you line them with Teram on the roof it will stop condensation dropping off the roof.

 

Dont forget the cost of delivery And unloading. . best part of £600+ get a diy garage Or similar

 

Condensation - don't do it !!!! Better off leaving the car outside and let the wind round it.
