Default advice with lowering a st170

hi all, im just after some advice, im looking to lower my st170 but i dont know how to go about it, ideally id like some cheap coilovers like some JOMs as im not looking to go on track just a nice drop, i cant find any under the price of 400 tho.

ive also looked at springs but i hear mixed reviews about the OE shock not being any good and also shaking the car to much making things loose,

what setups are people using and does anyone know were i can get something at a decent price

thanks

I have had Eibach springs on standard shocks but it was not low enough at the back for my liking, i then had a set of FK Coilovers fitted and it transformed the handling, but i had a full polybush set up which helped. The eibach springs were not much different from the standard springs with regards to hardness, the coilovers were harder but the bushes were the things that made the biggest difference to hardness of the ride. Your going to get a hard ride when going low, cant say i had any rattles or bits falling off, thats a lie actually my rear view mirror would jump off the windscreen on a big bump lol
£450+ for coilovers anything less will be shite

100% Depends on what your willing to spend, shocks and springs can be had for as little or as much as you want. Personally i would get coilovers most manufacturers do a kit for the ST170
