imo only good thing about that is the work getting that engine etc in. its a mismatch of mk3 and mk4 bits and isnt even an rs turbo as stated in the title

Why does it matter if its a genuine RS Turbo?
half the shell has been cut out anyway? the fact it isn't means it's not rusty..

it doesnt matter in the slightest if its a genuine rs, but it says it is in the title and clearly isnt. so because its a 'poverty' (no offence to those who have one) spec car means that its made from better metal?

whats the problem with the grill, is it not a orion/S1 grill also think the car is very nice and very well set up having seen it go around the track a few times only pitty for me is the lack of rear seats but to be honest not what its been built for.

It's also not a Cosworth, but it says that in the title as well because it has a Cosworth engine and it's RS Turbo styled. Putting a more durable Mk4 dash in it hardly makes it a mismatch of MK3-4 parts either? Just makes it more practical. He never actually states that it is an RS Turbo in the description either so don't see the problem?

Its actaully an XR3 shell, and a very good, rot free one at that.

if its a mk3 escort with a mk4 dash then surely thats a mismatch regardless if he prefers mk4 to mk3? couldnt give a monkeys whos car it is/was, i just dont think theres anything good about it bar the mechanicals. disregard the engine etc its not much different to any other mk3 escort, genuine or lookalike. but i notice from your sigs that you use/like oddkid so must stay loyal to him and show plenty of tongue

Brian it sounds like your dangerous to yourself mate.

If the car was just an XR3 with the kit it has and the colour it is. It would still be an awesome mk3 to own even in non turbo form with just an XR3 engine. You try finding a mint mk3 shell which is painted in stratos silver with a full S1 kit and cossie wheels.

Then it has a better dash and electrics due to the mk4 item.

Then ontop of that its running a 400bhp cosworth motor with loads of custom one off parts that are not only expensive but very strong.

Yet you dont like it. ??? So you dont like the look of std S1 either then??

You really are dangerous lol, how can you say the best thing is the mechanicals. It looks wicked, inside and outside is great. + Its quicker than any other 450bhp cosworth let alone a fwd mk3/4.

As for the grill thats the best mod externally there is!

You fail to see what the car is, instead trying to pick out random stuff that you may not like. As for Muz and Jamie and anyone else's comments its down to the fact they have seen the car in the flesh and seen it go, so commenting on facts!

It dont sound like you have the money to buy it? so why scrutinise it like your going to? If you are, then the owner could offer you the std front grill which is the boot

Maybe then you might have a proper look round it and appreciate it more, maybe even go up the road in it so all your comments will be proven wrong.

I just don't see how upgrading and area of a car to make it better or more practical makes it a mismatch? Would you consider a Fiesta Turbo with a T3 conversion and Cossie brakes a mismatch of parts or a better, safer car? Becuase I know Jano well I know just how much work went into this car to get it looking and running right, like the amount of messing around at the rear end so the wheels sat properly inside the arches so it still looked like a FWD Escort and not RWD and maybe that's why I appreciate it more than you do?
Nothing to do with me 'tounging' Janos arse, you obviously don't know me very well, if Jano built a shit car, mate or not I'd tell him. It's not even Jano selling the car or who wrote the advert so I don't see how sticking up for the person who wrote it even comes close to me rimming Jano

Like that a lot, even the smooth grill. Needs to be a bit lower all round personally.

right then, i havent once said i dont like the car, i just stated the best thing is the mechanic and the work involved getting it to fit. respect for that. but i dont like the grill or the dash. is that a crime. i do like the look of a mk3 turbo but it looks just like virtually every other s1 bar the grill and interior and colour obv. so im not quite sure how using proper parts (bodykit) is an acheivement or any better than another s1. and a few others have said 'negative' things about the grilland for the record yes i could afford to buy it but i wont be cos i will ever own another mk3/4 escort. dont need to see it to appreciate it as im sure it does go well from others comments and know what work will be involved to get the stuff in and working. and i aint saying this because im a hater or jealous, no reason why i should be

Amazing car in my opinion so much time and effort went into building it and lots of custom parts designed and used also far from a straight forward conversion and has been done perfectly.id love the car for myself and think its a bargain knowing how much has gone into building it and how much it would cost to build another one from scratch.

Oh and muz stop " rimming" jano

i was watching a 2007 i think, st3 look-a-like, converted from a focus titaninum turbo diesel, looked like the real deal, it had the lot, suspension, brakes, interior, bumpers, wheels .............. sold for £4,900

dont know if it was an stolen-recovered with loads missing so someone just fitted st interior and bumpers

like the ad said, st looks without the running/fuel costs
