escort mk 4 slam panel. where from?? pig to weld on??

i think im in need of a new slam panel for my mk 4 escort the bottom of it where the gear box support beam bolts onto is rotten,where can i get one and is it a pig to cut of line up and weld?? advice????

The slam panel & crossmember are different panels. You can replace the front crossmember without replacing the slam panel.

Easy to do, just make sure you bolt up the anti roll bar brackets first. to make sure it all lines up before welding in ,cross member is about £ 40
