I'll second that, just fitted mine up to my new motor out of the car which made it easier but i made the mistake of fitting longer studs and the 3 centre lower studs are a complete cunt to do when off so in the car would be a right cunt

Yup, they are a fucker! I remember they've got a rod thing that disappears into the dash and you can only get it in one end or the other, not both at the same time when putting the panel back on. Must have taken me about 2 hours!

believe it or not, i tried loads of things. i ended up buzzing most of it off with an orbital sander, then sandblasting the hard to get bits.(on low pressure) was a right ball ache. worth it as i can now prime it with clear plastic primer then mallard on top. when the bumper gets stone chips it won't stick out like a sore thumb.

Saff cossie 4x4 bottom suspension arms on the front.Getting the bolt to line that holds the arm onto the sub frame is a bastard.

Someone said use a ratchet strap to pull the anti roll bars across so that they will line.

Core plugs on e36 m3 evo

I bought a cabrio in october 1 year, when the tax ran out at the end of the month i parked it up cos i had a hard top too.
When I came to use it in summer i checked oil, water....
Water was low so i topped it up. As i poured it in on pass side, it ran out on drivers side
Turns out there was no antifreeze and over winter it froze and popped a core plug out the block.
On an m3 they are under the exhaust fanny mould which you cant remove in the car. An absolute cunt of a job to do, i even cut the claw off a hammer to get more "swing" lol.

Not something i will rush to do again!

Changing the steering box on my E39, hardly any room to work and it weighs a ton

Incidentally, it was far easier to convert the car from automatic to 6 speed manual

my front bumper had already had paint and someone had used grey primer. you'd also be surprised how much better the lines show up when there is less paint on it.

yes, they will do but you should have both wheels off the ground first and then simply pull the hubs into line and the bush will go back in again

you need one of them 10 ton straps to be really sure though, but i used several miles of thick nylon rope tied around the struts and everything and then simply sound them in with a big bit of metal
