Donington are running two days between xmas and new year:
Wed 28th Dec
Fri 30th Dec
Both days are Unsilenced, Sessioned (3 groups) and £135.

Anyone thinking of booking either of these?

 

If i do will be the wednesday as i will be in work on the 30th

 

Did last year but we got very little time due to the fog

 

I'm 50/50 after last year's fog farce. Love Xmas track days though, great to get away from all the Crimbo crap!

Will only book on the proviso that if it looks shite I won't be going and won't be paying. Lost a lot in wasted fuel and hassle when they said the event was on even though we said it should be cancelled.

 

Thought it was different last year driving round with headlights on so yo can see where you were going

Wasn't that busy TBH Tim, Ridgey was out in all sessions & myself & Kev got a passenger lap with him.

Apart from the Saph & a black mk4 golf there was nothing that caught the eye.

Still a good day thou.

 

that EK civic that was only out in morning was a bit naughty too

and of course the now standard fry up

 

I went down to watch bloody cold, some nice cars there Focus RS 500 was nice, the 205 was loud and the Skoda Fabia VRs surprising.

Back down on Friday may take the camera if i remember

Very very slippy in the morning, i span after craner curves before old hairpin in the morning.
Dry line was visible just before lunch and the pace came on.
Afternoon was much more like it.

i never stayed long lol, went out for something to eat then we got off.

 

great pics! i will be there friday and also a couple of other people i know are going. should get away with fog this year it was pants last year though as said

 

Ended up being good in the afternoon i thought! was a few things going properly well, red escos, black 306 and as stick said a lad in a black mk4 golf, not mega power but held his own with loads of "faster" cars he was flying!

Shame it wasnt busier but was still a decent day out had a good laugh!

Saph went well too mate!

 

Had an awesome day, it was so so wet though!
