Can anyone explain the difference on the propshaft on 4wd sierra cossie vs 4wd escort cossie if any?

Are the hardy couplings different?

 

The Sapphy one is too long for the Escort and oddly enough, the escort one is too short for a Sapphy.*
The difference is in the front half if memory serves me..
Also there IS a different bolt circle on Escort vs Sapphy rubber doughnut,and that means the little output flange on the box is also smaller on Escort, and the front part of the front half..Not a lot but screaming obvious when they're next to each other.

Sapphy wheelbase is 102.7" and Escos is 100.5" so prop, exhaust and handbrake cable are model specific.
