Default L8 ECU

Hi guys

I'm new to the site as just bought my first Sierra Sapphire Cosworth as a restoration project.
Just getting it recovered from Derby so bit of a mission lol.

It needs quite a few items including engine for a J plate 4x4 but finding hard to track down a L8 ECU.

any ideas where to look 

Any help much appreciated

Also, try Gary @ RS Classics as he is down the M4 at Bristol - i popped in there at the weekend and there were several engines to choose from.

In fact im sure most breakers will have a choice of engines.

if you need an L8 and a loom, but will then want closed loop, wasted spark and anti-lag then you may aswell just go aftermarket management now mate as it will work out cheaper - thats why i sold my L8 stuff as going Omex.

well ive just spent £836 inc delivery for an Omex 600 ECU and fully terminated loom made by Omex themselves. This ECU includes all the functions as standard such as closed loop, wasted spark, anti-lag, launch control, etc

So if you were in my position where you had to buy everything, such as L8 ECU, loom, wasted spark board, closed loop and anti-lag - this would have worked out more than what i paid and you would still be using an old loom.

With this everything is new and you also have the added benefit that if something goes wrong its only one sensor that needs looking at

sounds good, shame i got wasted spark but the l8 seems a very capable system according to reports. How much is a new loom then as i think that may be worth replacing as its 20years old
