Stock bottom end is good for 220-240bhp, alot of people run around 240-250 reliably with no probs... Id cap boost at 20psi as a max tbh!

These one's running 300 bhp i suspect they are running forged conrods with standard pistons?

People use standard bottom and abused on track in the 270bhp area. Depends how much risk you want to take. I'd personally stick to max of 250bhp and then get that bottom sorted.

It's the rpm that will kill the rods mate. Friend of mine ran 26+ psi with only arp rod bolts and thrashed it all day long for years with no problems. Luck of the draw I say.

i think it's got a lot to do with the management system your using, if you upgrade to a weber(cossie management) system the engine can be set up a lot better and you'll get more power and be able to run more boost and that it'll be RELIABLE, mine runs 19psi on a standerd bottom end, and has been running that for years with no problem at all but i know of cars running 24psi with no issues but these are all on weber managed systems
