Default 1600 zetec into orion no spark!

Posting for a mate, he has put a 1600 zetec into a mk1 orion from a 1994 fiesta java, the engine loom doesn't have the pats connected to it from what i can make out, but he has no spark?

Can anyone help out?

Any diagrams? i know the 1600 zetec aint the best but its just as a daily for winter

Thank you

Right I have a bit more info

He has used the engine loom from the fiesta and spliced it in as normal made up the fuel pump loom and its all working, there is power to the centre wire on coil pack plug but no spark, apparently the pats on the fiesta is external i think so it has no interferance with the engine loom, but will the ecu be blocked because it's from a pats model?

Should he buy a non pats ecu? or can he just run it off edis instead on carbs?

Thank you
