Default How Do You Do Yours ???

Hi, decided to give it a go myself and go to town on my cars paint work, in a good way mind lol.

I wash my car every week but a friend of mine does a full valet every 3 to 6 month, he uses clay, polish and wax for the paintwork once washed.

I know how to use the clay but what I always forget is do I polish after claying and then wax or is it the other way around? lol

If any body has any tips or if any of you could tell me the steps you use and which products you use to get your motor looking as new as it can, I would be great full

Im thinking of giving the seats a good shampoo/clean, is there any good but cheap(ISH) products for this?

Thanks in advance

If you've got a scabby old Mondeo like mine my car care procedure is as follows:

Leave the fucker for the rain to wash.

On the odd occasion that i feel like spoiling it i take to the local supermarket car park and let the Polish geezas do it for a fiver.

clay bar is gd use it with a detailer spray sideways across ur paintwork keep turning clay bar over so you using a clean piece ..then all the polishes(autoglym super resin ) and waxes(any ) then a dodo juice over the top ..dodo small pots about £6 (warm pot up first go over one panel at a time using one or two fingers wrapped in a microcloth ,takes hrs lol )..my small pot as done my cabby about 3 times and still have some left (thou i only have half a car due to soft top roof lol )with the dodo juice on it tends to stay super shiny so most time i now just wash and dry and cabby still looks shiny ..hope this helps

For a decent pot of wax at the cheaper end of the scale would be Nattys blue or white , around £12-£13 and will last you all year and it smells divine , like hubba bubba . If the surface is as smooth as glass after claying and polishing dont be too worried about pre waxing although it is a good idea .
