Default Recommendations for Chorley Street Garage & Northwest RS Centre

I'm looking to have some work done on my XR2, which is one of my prize possessions and I've been given the names of these two establishments in the north-west .

I'm unfamiliar with their work, and XR2's TBH and am wondering if anyone can give any personal recommendations ? or show me any examples of work they've undertaken before. the job at hand is likely to be the replacement of the rear section of both sills (around the trailing arm mounts) and maybe two rear arches at the very worse !

I do not wish this to cause any disrespect to anyone, just having a hard time deciding where i'm going to get the best possible quality job, as i'm sure people can appreciate.

Thanks, Nick

I think your best having a chat with both and see which one you feel comfertable to do the work.

I've phoned both, both seemed very friendly and helpful . Price really isn't the issue, i'm after the best quality work possible (within reason ha) , hence why i'd be interested in hearing from anyone who has used either of these places

That's the car in question. I'm quite attached to it, if it were a clapped out run-around i wouldn't be being so perticular.

Looks nice mate, i cant help on the above two, but would look more at a good body shop for the work you want doing.

A garage with good knowledge of Fords doesn't necessarily mean they are good with body work.

looks like a crackin wee car.

Can only offer advice on CSG when I went to view one of his cars, found Geoff to be very helpful, informative and passionate about old Fords. I might be wrong, but I thought they were more of a tuning place but thats not to say they have someone who does bodywork etc.

Personally looking at the car I'd recommend robbo no disrespect to the other firms but csg is mainly mechanical, nwrs is speciaist fab work and robbo is a top body lad of which sill and arch repair job and paint is his expertise

I'd guess most of these places would sub out the bodywork as they'll make a lot more money on the tuning/servicing aspect so probably best to cut out the middleman and go straight for the kill.
Should be a pretty straightforward provided the rust hasn't gone a lot further.
Pretty car that as well.
