Default saph cossie 4x4

hi can anyone help my 91 saph cossie drives fine but under hard acceleration it pops and bangs and feels like fuel starvation ive fitted new plug dissy cap and rotor arm hasnt made any change could it be a tierd fuel pump has anyone else had this problem if so please help many thanks from spencer

Phase sensor? Have a look and see if the plastic coating on the two wires inside the dizzy is coming off and the wires are touching!

Had same ( sounded like ALS with mine , engine loom connectors at the back of the engine were the problem I took the connectors of since then no probs anymore.

In the beginning moving the connect several time in and out would help but then I thought if they are giving resistance it cannot be good for the engine so decided to take them out.

Had the same on mine and like wolf cosworth it was the engine wiring loom multiplugs behind the cam cover. Trying contact cleaning them first to see if that helps.

Happened to mine 2 weeks ago, changed the phase sensor in the dizzy still the same so changed the crankshaft position sensor £20 and the ignition amplifier module £40 and it cured it. Try cheapest 1st mate
