Default Insurance people - skyline ins.. who you with?

might have the chance to buy a fairly tidy skyline for a decent price, but i have been getting quotes of just over £1k to insure the bastard. and im fucked if im paying that.

waiting to hear back from greenlight, but who else is recomended. lightly modded

means selling the puma first but hopefully i can off load that quick.

I had this problem. I was looking at them a couple of years ago, but couldn't find anything for less than £1k, which is just bloody stupid!

Think there's something "fast and furious" about skylines that insurers don't like. They quoted my mate £2.5k for a R34 GTR but near £1.5k for an Evo 6 going back a good 3-4 years

its just a GTST but lightly modded, im also 30 and have 7 years ncb and live in a very quiet area.

so it should be £300, but if i had to id pay £500 but no more.

warren, im paying £300 for the puma which i think is also excessive!

with my recent dealing with insurance companies and how shit the are when you try to claim, i am not going to pay an excessive ammount for insuance as its just not worth it!

ps the sierra was £570 fully comp, which was not bad for a 400hp car with cage etc...

Insurance has gone up a huge amount in the last few months. The days of cheap insurance seem to be long gone, unless you have stupidly limited mileage.

IMO you are not on this planet if you feel £300 is excessive!

No it's not, you're only 30 and it is considered a sports coupe. Insurance is not cheap.

£500 for puma lol, mine cost me £1700, so im fucked if im goignto pay a third of its value just to drive it.

come on, its a 10 year old car thats hardly groundbreaking performance.

our cmax is also £300 a year to insure, but its worth 7k and is only 4 years old, thats what i would expect to pay for that.

insurance should go off th value of the car i recon, that way we would all be getting insurance for £10 lol

You sound like you're a bit out of touch on the insurance front to be honest

I paid £300 to insure a 1.4 Escort about three years ago, and I bet I'd struggle to insure one for that now.

Insurance has gone up shed loads for all cars. What group is the Puma? Not that low is it?

I'm 27, with 7/8 years NCD, one non-fault claim and no convictions.

Car insurance is an expensive game nowadays, whatever you drive.
