Just a couple of ideas I'm having at the minute, my car gets used a hell of a lot (30k miles in 13 months!) and the steering wheel is looking very worn and tatty it's ford's attempt at a leather steering wheel and it's nice and shiny in places and then in every other place it's gone dull and a greenish colour. So I'd like a new steering wheel and was looking on ebay and quite like the look of the Mk3 steering wheel, found a wheel with the airbag for £39 + P&P just wondering if this would fit onto the Mk2 column or do I need to keep with the normal horrible Mk2 wheel?

Also I want to shorten the throw (and indeed the gearstick) and spotted this Short shifter kit and was just wondering if anyone had fitted them and how easy are they to fit, are they worth the money?

Oh and ideas for a new gearknob if possible mine's peeling again
