Probably the simplest one would be an RS turbo engine, although a zetec turbo won't be to hard either, depending on your experience. Have a look in the restorations thread for examples of both, I'm sure you'll find the info you need there somewhere. And welcome to the forum

I can't remember if the mk5's had the CVH or the Zetec.

If it's a CVH then

RST is probably the easiest if it's a CVH, particularly if you want to mess about with the tuning.

Anything else a, 2.0 Zetec would also be a good choice.

Zetec turbo, only if you have the cash I would say.

All Zetecs are FI, so if yours is carb it will be CVH, you most likely can fettle with with carb tuning etc or do the said CVH turbo, i.e. RST engine for an easy hike in power.

Then your going to need RS turbo power at least to keep with a cossie. Good luck with it and let us know how you get on.
