put a new battery in my key fob and i'm guessing it needs reset to the car or something.. any ideas? or is it just had it?

try reprogramming it.key in ignition in position 1,then turn to position 2 and back again 4 times,after 4th time u should hear a bong,press the lock button on the remote,bong should be heard to recognise key,start car and turn off,it should be reprogrammed if no problem with remote fob

 

just tried that and its worked, cheers

 

anytime fella.saved on buying a remote.sometimes remote fobs can go out of synch.if it keeps happening it maybe the fob is on the way out.just something to keep an eye on

 

I was gonna say the same as above.Ive done this for the wifes fiesta a few times now.

 

hope no, think it was just the battery that had died.. tried sinking it with the previous battery after i knew how to do it n got nothing, so fingers crossed
