do you need a spare wheel in your car for the mot, if the car should have one?

No buddy you don't . I've never had a spare wheel on most of my cars and it's never been an advisory let alone a fail. Jamie

i know u can get done if your spare wheel doesnt have minimum tread on it but not if u dont have one. Seems weird to me, sorry mate slighty of track from your question

thanks for the replies. brothers car spare wheel isnt very good so didnt no if to leave spare wheel in or take it out for mot.

doesnt make sense to me. If its illegal on the road it should be part of the mot. I know people will get around it by just taking the spare out but still seems strange
