Breaking Escort Mk5 XR3i 130ps (RS2000)
Hi all,
After much umming and ahhing and going backwards and forward ive made the difficult decision to break my xr3i project for spares. Ive put a hell of a lot of time and effort, not to mention a fair bit of cash, into this project and its actually pretty close to completion. However, i found out last weekend that i think the headgasket needs doing and a few bits of bodywork need doing too so i just feel its time to cut my losses rather than sinking another x hundreds of pounds and another few months into it. Shame really, but there you go, its been a good project and im happy with the work ive done and how its turned out so im jus going to look at it as a learning project.
Its a 1992 mk5 130ps XR3i in Pacifca blue, but its basically an RS2000 barr the engine! When i bought it i think it would be fair to say it was a complete mess, but since then ive put a lot of time and effort into bringing it up to scratch, and it now looks the part! As i said if it wasnt for the HG needing doing and a couple of bits of bodywork it would be a decent condition little car.
I will listen to offers to sell as a whole, but otherwise heres some pics and a list of parts and prices...
15" alloys (last pic) with MINT tyres - £80
RS2K Wheels 2 in excellent good tyres 2 need repacing - £80
RS2K Bonnet with bulges - £60
Exhaust with largeish bore tailpipe (will confirm make), sounds lovely - £60
Highly polish HO manifold, throttle body, highly polished rocker cover, red leads all as a package - £100 (will consider selling individually) - £100
Recaro front seats, repaired rip on bottom of drivers seats but otherwise mint - £60
ECU - £60
Fusebox (not the one in the car, which is knackered, i have a another) - £60
Mint front light - £20 each
Bootlid, good cond - no rust on outside - £50
Tinted rear light, small crack but look the nuts - £40
Mint rear bumper - £40
Clear front bumper indicators, mint - £50
Depending on which parts go ill then put another for sale post up to sell whats left in case anyone wants to build up a project or track car or something.
