popped over to malta a couple of weeks ago to watch the drag racing and this was one of the videos i took

it was mega to watch.its a road car aswell..... there was a mk1 escort done a 8.5 . theres also a traditional styla dragster with cossie power...was a good weekend.

it was round 4 of the national championships, but same as here there is a lack of money in malta just now so the entry was down to what it usually is. open rwyb on thurs night the quali on fri night and finals on sat night.

the sierra belongs to Chris ,was a pb and a 1.3 60ft 9inch rear end ,all his cars are fast and all are yb powered,he used to use a mk1 escort drag car with a yb in it till he rolled it ,that did a best of 7.4 quarter

yup, he had a mk1 escort with him aswell the other week,dunno if its the same one fixed or a new one.was fast too funnily enough.

no its not that mk1 thats the new one hes had built,the old one is a drag car ,heres a clip of the car before he rolled it

theres a couple of focus drag cars that were quick with zetec turbo and they all have really good gear on them...no cutting corners on engines thats for sure.
over here MOST people try to do a car for track and strip and for road use aswell not just drag only....thats the difference.

rogers garage has a 9 sec evo that i got a look at....looks std..ish until you lift the bonnet!!!

Cossie was mental quick but did anyone catch the car that was running alongside? Looked like a Teg to me and sounded the nuts!! That must've been a 10-11sec quarter it ran?

yes teg fwd ,prob around 500hp and IIRC it was 11 something,was fookin loud but couldnt get off the line properly.
