Default mk1 escort rs2000

Im new here and thought you would like to see my weekend slag . This how i 1st bought it

it was advertised as a show car and it was in very very good condition but defo no show car the body and paint was amazing and interior was retrimmed rs turbo seats in soft black and blue leather its lovely . But engine bay was a mess as the lad ran out of money and he could afford the extra £500 to do bay !!!! go figure eh . It was powered by the original 58k 1600 crossflow which went ok but wasnt nippy enough so bought a decent spec 1740 and prepped all the bay for paint but 1740 had back pressure so that got pulled out too and i replaced it with an st170 on throttle bodies

im into my vw scene and always loved the smoothed look so that what ive tried with this all holes in inner wings welded, creases smoothed ,fusebox relocated with battery, servo removed, washer bottled relocated and wires all hidden was 6 months work all in all

And how she looks now

Lovely car that mate a credit to you. But slightly confused as to why it had an original 1600 crossflow in an RS2000, surely a 2.0 pinto was what it had originaly

its not a real one just a replica but it was a low mile unwelded shell that seems to have lived a pampered life ands its tax exempted that was more important to me than a rough rs at the same price
