Default Big big thank you to Will pedley,Blacky and Wenny

Just wanna thank Will,Blacky and Wenny.

The story goes like this.

I fitted a RS500 style intercooler in july and was booked to go on track at ford fair.Blacky ask Will for me to see of he would check my fueling to see if it was ok.I left the car with Will and blacky cause i was going to get signed on and have my briefing.

I got back to the car only to be told my fueling was really lean and wouldnt reckonmend going out on track.I was told the over 4.5 k revs the engine was dangerously lean.I decided to go out on track and i still enjoyed myself.

I checked the voltage to the fuel pump and found 11volts at the pump.I bought a bosch 044 pump and Blacky give me a hand to rewire the pump.We now had 13 volts at the pump.

Will took the car today to work his magic on it.I got a new chip, actuator and closed loop fitted and a coolent bottle cap off wenny.

Will brought the cae back tonight and i went out in the car to try it.Well what can i say. From second gear it just pulls like a train.I feels like a different car now.Im just happy that i know that the engine will be safe.

Got a few little bits and bobs to do to it now like the bloody hand brake cable which snapped when w
Will had it lol.

So thanks again boys i really appreciate it....

He went on track but never went over 4250rpm

You don't have to kill a car to go fast on track it's all about the corners

Well i didnt go over 4.5 k revs so the car was ok.

If it blew up i would of just made the engine better.

There just old cars matey. Do you have to drop the tank to get the fuel pump out or is there an inspection cover under the back seat(being a cossie i doubt there is).

Keep at it bri.

Haha, you won't see any fuel economy benefits if you keep enjoying all the new found power mate

Glad you're happy with it!

I had a little play when i was next to a brand new Audi A6 diesel and we were just side by side from off the lights.I was suprised how quick the Audi was.Ive just looked it up on google and the audi has 500nm of torque.

Its a shame we werent on a motorway cause it would off been interesting to see what the old sierra would of done.

Relieved you got it checked, shame that the people on here were right about it though.. main thing is you still had an ok time out on track though I suppose.

So was everyone on here that recommended giving the track day a swerve due to not running safely.

Glad it's going well now though Glennyboy, enjoy yourself before you tuck the car up for the winter mate.

Cheers,
Grant

I just didnt go over 4.5k revs when i was on track so i wasnt running the risk of blowing the engine up.

Had a play once with a Beemer 535d twin turbo who killed me of the line but then when we reached +220km/h i killed him again all this was on the German Autobahn
