Moonstone 2wd sapphire £3500 no offers.
For sale-my 2wd moonstone sapphire cosworth.
The car is in good condition,doors are very good as is the bootlid and spoiler,the front has the usual stonechips,and the driver door has a slight one,it has a standard 2wd bonnet,it had new arches at a bodyshop last year,the left one has pinbubbles starting now,looks like water under the paint.
It's solid underneath,it had the inner rear sills repaired to a high standard the same time as the arches then was waxoiled,i replaced them because they looked scabby they werent actually crumbling or rotten.
The other usual rot spots are good and its never had a problem at a mot in my posseion other than needing a tyre and brakes balanced at last one.
It has 11months mot and tax until the end of the month so will need trailering after that.
Ive owned the car 3years and done 3000k in it,its always started bar the cps one time but that got done along with new coil,ignition chip dizzy cap leads and plugs,oil changed every year by me using silkolene pro-s.
it had new back drive shafts,uj and diff replaced,new alternator,new thrust bearing in gearbox,few other bits and bobs.
Gearbox was rebuilt when i bought it and is nice and tight with no knocks or bangs.
Brakes have been fully serviced and balanced they work very well.
The engine has done 91k,its in good condition,no mods bar k&n air filter and exhaust.
It runs very well pulls well in every gear,no knocks,or bangs,however the exhaust does rattle on the gearbox bellhousing,its been off and refitted twice but still not cured it,only happens on overun though.
Bad bit-headgasket showing early signs of going,it got the dye treatment and the colour changed after 5mins or so i think,the car does misfire on startup but always clears when warm,my mechanic is putting it down to water getting in and affecting the plugs which are brand new.
Since this happened its been parked up and not used.
Its got cloth interior in it which is in good nick but the drivers seat has a tiny hole,the doorcards have stretched a tiny bit on the front doors.
The computer works spot on as do the windows and mirrors,heater works and both windscreen heaters work as well.
The little headlight wipers work spot on and so do all the lights etc.
It has nice straight bumpers on it aswell with black fog surrounds on the front.

the pics don't work mate, but it's a nice standard car for good money, if i hadn't blown a few pennies at ford fair it would have been a pm and not a free bump for you

But yeh bang on this motor is! cant believe the smack head only wants that much dirt cheap!
i sold my old moonstone one with no tax/mot and needs a rebuild for £2200 and got offered more after it had gone this sould fly away cheap nice looking cossy everyone seems to be loosing the cossy bug
probably will, but it will be dribs & drabs of money; engine and box will sell straight away, then you'll have to clear the rest over a period of time.
