st170 clutch 2002
Hi guys,
My clutch is about to go on my st170 and i'm in need of a replacement, i would like to get another 30bhp out of my baby.
Can someone give me an idea of what to do next, i've never done any mods on my car before. i'm a real rookie! lool!

You wont get 30bhp on the standard inlet manifold, you will have to fit individual TB to get over 200bhp which will cost you fitted and mapped with new cams £3000+
I can almost garentee your ST170 will not be running anywhere near 170bhp it will probably be in the 155-160's most of them are.
I have spent well over £2000 on bolt on mods for my ST170 and im only getting 189bhp last time it was RR'd
Unless your willing to spend that £3000 or £7000+ going forced induction it i would say your wasting your time.
With regards to your clutch change, you have an early ST170 with the smaller weaker clutch, make sure they fit you the later larger type, and the dual mass fly will need changing along with the slave cylinder, if you dont you will only end up doing it all again very soon.

my st 170 as only got a cat back system k&N typhoon kit 67mm cmf throttle
body and is knocking out 190 as for you clutch you looking at any thing between
£1.300 and £700.00 just had mine done full works dmf slave cylinder the lot and cost me £700.00

190 from them mods i really do not think so sorry
, individual throttle bodies and aftermarket managment will only get you around 195bhpI only paid £600 for my Aluminium lightweight solid flywheel slave cylinder and stage 3 kevlar clutch from the states.
