No Radio Reception on Mk3 Mondeo

I've had the car just over a year and the reception has always been crap. So crap that I made some CDs and stopped listening. Now I get no reception whatsoever.

Is this a common problem?

its the radio itself defo i had the same would work some times the other times nothing try a different radio first thanks
