Default Mondeo TDCi duck like noise at switch off??

Hi all, just popped in from across the way at Scoobynet.
My Dad has a 57 plate Mondeo Titanium X TDCi 140 which as the title suggests, has aquired a duck call like noise when the engine is switched off. Video of this amusing noise is below. Anyone have any idea what this could be? It comes from around the back of the engine.

BTW Stu, if you happen to read this - Why can't Scoobynet be as quick and smooth as Passion Ford

Thanks in advance:

I'm back having located the source of the noise. If you look in the centre of the picture there are two brown things. The one at the rear is the source of the noise. If i unplug the air hose going to it or the electrical connector, the noise doesn't occur. So what is the brown thing? Can i take it apart and lube it or similar?
