Default disconnecting antirollbar

hi all,
as fitting a front antirollbar promotes understeer, i was wondering if its gonna be a good idea to take the ARB off the car to reduce understeer/promote oversteer ? Im not too certain about the TCA's though being less rigid
its a s2 . what do u guys think? thx in advance, greets from holland

That would not be a good idea on a S2! Take a look at the suspension steup, and it will all become obvious why you cant take it off...what you could do is change to a S1 or RS1600i setup, or do stuff like alter the track width front and rear, camber and castor - this also affects steering characteristics.

Understeer on FWD is normal, and preferable to oversteer. Youd be better off investing in adjustable rose jointed kit, so you can accurately dial in your geometry and experiment to find what best suits your driving style.

Yeah - to fit his loverly fully adjustable rose jointed kit which is in development!

Take a look - the rollbar locates the carrier and strut! Remove it and youll rip your car apart. The rear also has a rollbar, which has nothing to do with locating the suspension...this you could remove...I wouldnt tho!

Thats on the S1 set up mate. The TCA's are held in place by the ARB on the S2.

Thats why he's looking at making a retro kit to fit the S2 so this can be overcome.

I run with NO ARB's front or rear just like the works Gp A cars used to
