Hi,just away to start modding my mk2,I'm wondering if the £400 difference between the itg carbon airbox and the mountune lid is justified?
Also next will be a cooler,I read about the test in fast ford where the spec r cooler came out on top but the gains were only a little better than the airtec cooler,is the spec r worth the extra in the real world?
I'm not bothered about the cost but I don't want to waste money either so comments from folk who have either of the above products will be greatly appreciated!ta,lee

 

I would personally speak to a number of tuners mate I hear jamsport are comming out with good results on the mk2 at the moment and would personally would put it on the rollers any way after you change the cooler as ur alltering things when which could make it run leaner

 

I think tuners would be biased towards which product they are selling so wanted opinions from owners,but tbh p/f snd the focus Rs forum both seem a bit dead for info.the rsoc forum keeps coming up in google when you search for info so I think I'll head over and ask there!

 

Look at Jamsports advert in the magazines for 2 extra horsepower over the mountune airbox lid they want another £200 extra over the mountune version!

 

That's for the autospecialists lid,I think the itg box gives more bhp.I asked the same q on the rsoc site and everybody is saying mountune so I'm going to order 1 on Monday.prob going to go for the spec r cooler too!

 

Tbf my mate is running mountune lid and panel filter with miltek exhaust bar the de cat pipe sounds beautifull and if js are asking 200quid over the mountune lid then I wud just have that mate and yes I agree on that with being biased mate best of luck what ever you choose keep us posted on how you get on mate
