i've just bought a 3 door so need to sell my saff.
its a very nice example. the shell is very solid, never been welded. the sills are mint, not even starting to baloon. the chassis rails are also mint. the only bit of rust on the whole car is a small bit on the back of one of the rear archs. it has had paint in its life & under certain light there is slight colour diferances. its almost standard looking with the only modifications being a late non vented laguna splitter (due to me knocking the original off) & a graham gooded stainless exhaust including a stainless sports cat. the exhaust is very quite & you'll never have to worrie about mot emissions.
the engine is stage 2 spec with hybrid t3 & light green injectors. there is a roling road print out with around 300bhp & around 300ft lb torque. the engine does suffer from the usual cosworth piston slap when cold that most people when try to sell cosworths try to pass off a 'a bit tappety'. engine doesnt smoke & pulls very nicley.
the gearbox/running gear is excllent. goes through the gears great with no noises or rattles.
wheels are in good condition with no kerbing, however the is some corosion starting to appear.
not long before i bought the car the previous owner fitted a new battery & a new heated screen (its nice to have one where all the elements work
)
mot'd untill april 2012
in all, this is a VERY nice cosworth is a desirable colour. it drives superbly, infact its the nicest driving cosworth i have driven so far. being in great condition & standard looking it really does turn heads
£5200

thanks for that mate. it really has been a pleasure to own & VERY reliable. i'll be sad so see it go
Big thanks to Jamie who agreed for the car to be used at my wedding back in September. When he mentioned it was for sale I couldn't stop thinking about it when on my honeymoon and ended up buying it when I got back. Cracking car, great bloke!

Thanks very much for the kind comments. I've just replaced the momo gear knob for an original (was a right pig to get off) and the momo steering wheel has also been removed which is to be replaced with an original I bought just before X-Mas - just need to get the right socket! The car is lovely and I've always wanted one since I was 12...needless to say it won't be going anywhere soon but I'll keep you in mind should ever I want to part with it... Plan is rust repair after the winter (not much - just the arch and a couple of old stone chips really), wheel refurb, mark on back seat to be repaired then its just the case of enjoying it!
oh well, it was worth a try
The momo wheel and gearknob were on it when i bought it (i owned it before geoff at chorley street) along with some horrible antera wheels and was always my plan to change them for originals but i never got round to it! i can give the steering wheel a good home if you want to pm me a price, at least i will have part of the car back

Yeah odd story about that. Basically a mutual friend of mine and Jamies (who is a general manager at a Ford dealership) completed an HPI for me before a more thorough inspection of the car was completed at the dealership. The private plate which used to be on the vehicle was previously on another vehicle which was stolen and recovered so this car has never actually been stolen just an old plate associated to it was registered to a car that had been. Must say when the inspection was completed by the Ford technician he claimed to have never seen one with such a solid underside (which to be honest was the deal maker!). Just been out for a short drive in it and loved every second!
