Does anybody know where i can get these from at a decent price? Looking for a full set for a 3dr Mk4.

Will definately need new window rubbers aswell as the ones i have are completely knackered so does anyone know where you can get these from aswell, any advice is greatly appreciated.

when you get these plastic windows do they come curved like the glass or are they totally flat?

To be honest apart from safety I didnt see a ridiculous amount of weight saving. At least thats what it seemed when I had the the glass window in one hand and Polycarb in other.

i would say the weight saving is quite big

especially when replacing all windows, im still debating doing the front screen

Do they really get scratched that easily?? Those scratch resistant lexan ones are good but are megabucks for a bit of soddin plastic!!

Im not to fussed about the scratching tbh they r goin on a track car so its more about function realli as long as visability isnt massively impaired im not to bothered.

I would say that the weight saving is probably quite substantial considering, more importantly your removing weight from height so the centre of gravity is lowered this improving handling, not to sure just changing windows will do that on its own but its a bloody start i suppose.

Does anybody know anything about the window rubbers, mine are completely shot to bits and i do need new ones.

Ahh good old fleabay, you can always rely on that to find what nobody else can offer.

What would you say is a good amount of weight to try and shed from a completely standard MK4 Bonus in standard trim. Im gonna try and aim for around 100kg do u think this is ambitious?

Yeh i suppose just depends on how much you want to spend as usual. Still cant find any window seals though!!

When fitting polycarb windows will i actually need new seals because it says you can either bolt them in or bond them in assuming there will no longer be a seal in place??

front doors you still need the rubber around top of door to locate window, then the two halves either side at the bottom

rears i guess you could bolt in but will look neater if sat in the rubbers imo

So polycarbs or not im gonna be needing a whole new set of rubbers all round.

I still cant bloody find any no matter where i look, i wonder if Autoglass can get hold of them as when they replace a piece of glass they always replace the seal??
