i've got a 2001 mk1 focus with a 1.6se engine that i need to change the timing belt on, my sister bought the car new from some kind of car supermarket so it doesn't seem to be registered with ford, the reg and the chassis no don't come up at the dealers.
the engine code is FYDB1 can anyone tell me what timing belt kit i need ,the dealers are being a pain and said they can't help me, i would have thought they would all be the same, also does the 1.6 engine just have the tensioner or is there an other roller in there

 

Best bet is look on eBay find 1 and send the seller a messege asking if it will fit that's what I did for my mk1 zetec, iv still not got round to fitting it so I'll have a look on the box and see if it fits on your model when I get home and if so I'll send you the part number for it, I think it was only £16
