Default Rose-Jointing? "Torque-steer help"

Hi folks

Anyone running rose-joints on there ERST?

The torque steer on my RS now is getting pretty bad, plus this year I wana be doing some 1/4 launch's and need it to go a in a staight line!!!

Im currently running polybush's and koni shocks, Im ditching the koni shocks as Ive just bought a set of GAZ coilovers... So i wana go the rose jointed route as well. Im running around 240bp at 22psi of boost, so as you can imagine when I put the power down it tends to go all over the shot!

any info, pics or experience's of them would be great, also who sells them???

cheers!

There was a thread on here with many details and pics of the rear end rosejointed link kits but I think it's been removed, I can't seem to find it anymore. PM me for more info.

Certainly Rosejointed TCA's and solid bushed tension strut joints (S1 or RS1600i) will considerably improve the torque steer at the front end and sharpen up steering response. I don't think they cause that much harshness or shake the shell to bits! S2's are likely to be more of a problem, relying on the ARB to locate the struts!

Try a strut brace (cant tell in your sig if you have one or not)...they make a fair bit of difference to! so we have found in a 230hp ERST!

Yes, the S2 is the problem one! The gearbox x/member gets in the way of fitting standard S1 or RS1600i front end parts although they could be modified to fit.

At present I am looking at making some new corner plates to locate some tension struts like the S1, rose jointed at the front end and a solid adjustable knuckle joint at the TCA end, that's simple enough but the anti roll bar is proving to be the problem.

Sourcing a suitable arb that will mount from the new corner plates and clamp to the tension struts is the difficult bit.

There's something to be said for running without the arb, I'd like to try that on an S2 and get some feed back, after all Ford never ran one on the GpA RS Turbo rally cars and neither does NutsRus on his RS1600i rally car.

Not sure about running without an ARB!

Keep us posted on any future developments with the S2 rose-jointing\stability mods.

cheers!
