expansion tank not getting warm

Default expansion tank not getting warm

Was driving along and noticed the heater was not as hot as usal, pulled over and noticed the expansion tank was bearly warm and the pipe from the thermostat housing to top off expansion tank was still cold, rest off the pipes and rad are hot any ideas what this could be? I'm guessing waterpump ?

Will take it out and have a look, but weird how the expansion tank is still cold and rest off the pipes and rad are red hot

as above could be stuck thermostat unless the water pumps fucked or fitted wrong??? air in the system???? try bl;eed it

I'd go with air also. Loosen the pipe at the thermostat and gently squeeze / mis-shape the pipe so any trapped air can escape.
