History of me Mk1 Escort
Hi Chaps
New to all this so apologies for any posts i have missed.
I Recently Purchase the MK1 Escort in my profile pic and just wondered how i can find any history for it.
I believe it was first registered as a 1300? but has a 1600 Cross flow. The insurance companies keep asking me questions about the engine. All i have is the 711M6015BA and an engine No.AA77842.
I need to find out the age of the engine and what it came from. Any help would be great.

Sounds like you need to deal with an insurance company who knows what a crossflow is, give Hagerty`s a ring (hegarty?)
Prob get it insures fully comp for Ł100
My 69` 2.0 twin 45`s Escort cost Ł135 to insure.
