Default S1 or S2

HI! i´m new here, i bought a engine of a rs turbo but i don´t know how to tell
if its an S1 or S2 could somebody tell me where is the diference?

S1 only came in white and have a stripe down the sides with rs on the front wings. S2 came In black red grey White and have vents in the bonnet.

Lol sorry just read you only brought the engine...fail!

If the engine still has the inlet attached, s1 are 2 peice and s2 are all one.

S1 water pump has 2 inlets, whereas the S2 waterpump has only one.

here is a picture of my rebuild engine i just finished it!! my inlet is two pieces the inlet and
where the injectors go...

It's bit of a mix match. It has S2 inlet and alternator mount, but an S1 water pump. Be careful, as the dipstick pipe lengths are also very different S1 vs S2.

i think i made a mistake and i mounted the s1 waterpump....... do i have to change it or could a do something with it?

What car are you fitting it into mk3 / 4 r the 2k in the pic ? Ive seen people put S2 engines in S1's and change the waterpumps so they fit in a mk3
