granada cosworth chain tensioner replacement

Does anyone know if the timing will move if the timing chain tensioner is removed to fit a new gasket to it on the granada cosworth boa engine?

no aslong as the chain stays on the pulleys.

ok thanks. Also is there any procedure to follow when removin the tensioner like taking out the small allen key screw on it or just the 13mm bolt?

im also having issues getting the plastic guides to move out the way so i can lift the head off. does any one know how to combat this?

the tensioner piston, i believe, fits in kinda like a bayonet. you have to twist it or something to get it out, i read it somewhere. but i pulled mine out from inside.

Take the Allen plug out, then place the Allen key into the hole and turn a quarter turn it will click, then as they say fitting is the reversal of removing
