The thing is if you've worked really hard to buy/modify your car you respect it more.
The trouble with these young footballers is that they get everything handed to them on a plate. They don't realise the dangers of speed and they don't respect the cars or have any thought that their actions could harm innocent members of the public. They just don't give a shit!

keiron dyer for example used to come into club, get into arguments with people on purpose, burn 50 quid notes infront of them etc then if he got any shit his bodyguards sorted it out

If 'X' player does gets 'X' thousand pounds a week then why not buy a fast/powerful car...i know for a fact if i was on ten grand a week the taxi wouldn't be on the drive!

when it comes to the cars side, its already been said. young drivers FULL STOP, are a nightmare. its just football players are famous so its more documented. not like no other young guy has crashed a civic type r. reckon loads have tbh.

its not all that hard to bin a car when following something that handles well. your lowered into a false sense of security. i was following a spah cos 4x4 around a corner and because the car looked so stable i thought i'd easily be able to match its speed. the road was slippy and i did a 180 before i even knew the back end was going.
