I WONDER IF ANYONE CAN HELP ME . I AM NEW TO PASSION FORD AND COULD DO WITH SOME HELP IF POSS. I AM RESTORING A S2 FROM THE BARE SHELL. I REQUIRE A DONOR CAR TO USE FOR TRANSFERING BITS OVER FROM. I AM AFTER A 88 SPEC XR3I AS I HAVE CHANGED MY ROOFLING BACK TO 88 SPEC AS I GOT A BRAND NEW HEADLING FROM FORD.I REQUIRE A CAR THAT HAS NO ENGINE BECAUSE I ONLY NEED THE INTERIOR FITTINGS ( I HAVE GOT THE RECAROS). I GOT OFFERED A 89 RS TURBO FROM A LOCAL BREAKERS BUT THE CAR IS TO GOOD TO SCRAP ( £500.00 IS ALL THEY WANTED)THIS CAR IS COMPLETE. I LIVE VERY CLOSE TO PRESTON SO IT NEEDS TO BE CLOSE IF POSS. Try local freeads or Ebay, you could always get a sheddy xr3i for a couple of hundred quid, but if you have the time and space i'd probably have the rs at £500 and sell whatever parts you dont need on Ebay, you can get £200 for a interior for an example, probably £40 for front bumper etc etc, thats just me tho', if you cant be arsed then fair enough!

 

And if its got a good running engine then thats probably worth another £200, so thats nearly your £500 back

 

Go for the £500 turbo you will be quids in on all the goodies

 

i am going to go for the rs at the breakers. what sort of money would you get for a rolling shell. i might be tempted to restore the shell and keep it as a spare. genuine shells are like rocking horse sh**te. i will keep you posted if i decide to sell off the parts.

 

went for it this afternoon and surprise suprise it had gone so i am on the luck out again. there is sod all in my local papers.
