just had my recently bought st fixed outside my house, by the car sales i bought it from, roving auto electrician. Anyway the fault code i had, referred to the inlet manifold runner cable flap thingy stuck open.
It turned out that the flap was indeed being opened and shut ok but that it was not seating in the shut position completely fooling the ecu. So the sparky took the silver box off from behind the inlet manifold, opened up the unit and lo and behold a simple return spring had come off of its mounting post. No need to buy any new parts.
If you have heard this before i apologise but it may save someone a few quid that would be better spent on say, stella artois or summat.
