hi my boot lid on my rs turbo wont lock i can heaqr the central locking going in the boot lid but i can still just press the button and open the boot i tried locking with the key to no avail i have dismantled the locking mechanism and as far as i can tell the barrel connects to the central locking motor via a little arm which is attatched to a rod and attatched the the motor....if i look at the end of the barel the little armhas a shape in the end platethat matches the shape of the piece inside the barrell but if i slide it i can still push the button all the way in regardless of its position which in turn presses the release on the catch....i guess the button is supposed to be locked so that it cannot be depressed when it is locked? i cant remember if when it was locked i could still press the boot lock and it still went in all the way or just a couple mill?
either way if i pull the arm on the lock left or right i can still fully depress the button which will always open the boot unless its something on the catch that changed to lock the boot? any help would be great.
