Default Cloth interiors

firstly, this isn't a wanted thread as i think i've sourced a set.

What i want to know is what year did the cloth seats change from dark/light or light/dark or was it more to do with spec or something else?

I have a K-reg car with the late-spec dash in it but a mix of light rear seats and dark fronts. I prefer the light cloth but i'm not sure if it'll look wrong with the later dash (if it was year specific)

Can anyone shed any light on which cars had darks and lights.

Leather isn't really an option at this point in time

2WDs have the light seats/light dash etc, 4x4s have the dark seats to match their dark dash.

I'm the opposite to you, i far prefere the late dark upholstry

it's a mk2 hatch i have so i suppose the RWD/light seats make sense. I'm not 100% sure what dash i have in it as i'm not sure of the differences (as this is the only Sierra i've owned) but i'll get a pic later.

I quite like the dash as it is tbh even if it is the dark with the light seats. I'll take a picture of it later and fire it up to see what it is

sorry for my stupidity!

i want a matching set so would be swapping my dark fronts for lights

it's a dark dash i have (see pics) but the standard cloth seats that came with the car were light cloth

Been offered full leather for £250 but i can't stretch to that the now.

Your dash would be a light dash in a Cosworth

The 2wds with cloth had your colour dash with the light seats.
The 4x4s all had a black dash with the dark seats.

This is the colour of dash that the dark seats are supposed to go with.

Paul,

I suppose that's a black dash not a blue one - can you confirm?

Also can you guys let me know whether Cosworths were ever released with the blue dash??

I'm pretty sure I've seen a 3 door with blue interior a few years back but can't find it again....

Sapphire Cosworths either had the light dash shown by Kevin (2wds) or the Black dash (4wds)shown in my photo. The 3 doors dash is the same, if not very similar to the light Sapphire one.

The mad colours were saved for other models lol

after starting the thread with "this isn't a wanted thread" i found out the seats i were offered had a small hole in them down where the usual bolster wears. FUCK! can you get small patches replaced or is it not worth the effort?

now on the hunt for a set of fronts only, wish i hadn't sold my dark ones now.

That's probably what I'm referring to with the blue dashboard - I think it was called bluestone or something.

Question for you Stu perhaps you can help - do you know whether these interiors came with an option for leather or was it always cloth (and if so, what colour?)?

i've managed to get a set of seats to finish my interior properly, going to pick them up tomorrow. They're not 100% mint but they'll clean up for now.

I'll be selling my dark cloth fronts now, again not in 100% perfect condition but fixible with no rips or tears - what can i expect for them?

*EDIT* sorry if this seems like a for sale post but i'm genuinely wondering if i'm expecting too much
