My new cable has snapped after only 3 months. Runing a Helix uprated clutch, Mk5 pedal mod and 180 or so bhp.

I see from Burton's website there are two available one for ABS and one without but what difference does it make?

My car does not have ABS fitted and I don't know if it was removed by someone previously as it is a turbo'd XR3i 90 spec.

Is there other cables that will fit that are stronger?

 

I don't think it'll make any difference to be honest. I can't see why there needs to be 2 different types of cable.

 

Me neither, you sure ones not for a s1 and the other a s2?

How heavy is your pedal? I've got a helix clutch and the pedal is pretty light etc.

One is longer than the other (I ordered the wrong one) but I have no idea why that is

for cars with ABS cable is 1294mm and for cars without is 1248mm.
In my car i have putted a cable that has arrounfd the half length.. My trader said to me that this cable used by some rs's, and is not more available (i don't know any more info for this cable...). I will take a look if still is there the sticker with the serial number on it
these lenghts are for RHD, as for the other i forgot, mine is LHD...
