after years of living at my rents house and the garage being covered in there crap and getting run down i finally decided im taking over
for when im working from home saves quiet days at the garage i work out of

first things first
fitted new window on the side that i got cheap from a mate and then clad the doors in sheet metal


once i got in there got my dad to get me gear to install electricity lights a phone line and an alarm system



fitted a few old kitchen cabinets i had from my old kitchen and built a work bench across the back wall



another bench to store my boxes until i get a roll cab in there

also has a pit that was a bit run down rail way sleepers all shot and rotting through put sheet steel over it as a temp fix but got a bit bored last weekend and decided to fit it once and for all







should be getting it kitted out with lights and a ladder shortly

i know its a little small and crowded but it does me for most jobs and saves me paying for my bay at my mates garage when i have little work on it does fit a car fully in with room to work around it

I'm liking the pit, did you do it yourself?

I'd love one of these in my garage, it would save me a right load of hassle on jobs

 

A pit would be so usefull and if you can work from home or familys its a masive saveing come the end of the month good luck to ya pal

the pit was there but the guy filled it in so spent few weeks digging it out

thanks it does save me alot of time / money and im happier to give the rents money towards the electricity then paying for my area in the garage thats about the same size as this garage

what do you mean by rents???? parents???

 

yeah the parents they used it as a dumping spot ( did use my own sopt with sumone until they didnt pay rent cant afford to go alone for the work i get )

update on it got a set of ladders for the pit and will have an electric supply there and a shelf for the spanners shortly
