well done that man. just lunched another mk6 gti box. does the lsd from the s2 fit the mtx??

 

bc lsd wont fit the mtx75 nope.

 

there is a trader selling lsd's at the mo for the MTX75 i see at a show which was around £225 which is a bargain. Worth buying and fitting if you want an LSD in the box.

 

Not really a guide lol, If i had pics of the ones i did i would show how i made the shafts in the machine shop (from mk5 escort ones) and how i made the gearbox mounts, also what speedo cable and clutch cable to use and from what car. Also how to modify the gear linkage from the mk3/4 to work with the mk5 one. And i would also document the flywheel and clutch upgrade.

 

Chaffe, what clutch and flywheel do you use? and where did you put your gearbox mount?

 

i used the two litre zetec flywheel with a focus rs clutch, my gearbox mount was low down at the front in both cases, the rear was the same

 

That's cheap worth having one! at that price it would be stupid not to!!

 

Ah cool, I saw one recently with a front mount off of the roll bar mount (1600i or mk3 rst) and tbh it looked like a bodge, but seemed to work bloody well.

I agree with your first comment mate, a few pics of how to modify the inner wing and pictures of drive shafts is more of an advert and less of a guide.

When we did my mtx conversion in my mk2 fiesta I used a homebuilt top mount and an rs2000 rear stabilizer mount I used I mk5 escort gear linkage and we cut the tunnel from a mk5 escort and welded that in so that the linkage fitted spot on!
