Im going to be uprating to a mtx box in the winter but i want something to fill the gap between now and then. I have a mk3 anti roll bar fitted to my mk4 escort. Would this fit?

I have fitted one, it seems to have the 4bolt mount for the mk3.

You need to be careful about release bearings, there is a thread about it somewhere. Other than that it bolts straight in.

I split mine in half and fitted my lsd (standard rst) went right in with some new bearings. I think i gave a best offer of £100 and it turned up in 2 days.

It doesn't come with a clutch arm, your standard rst one fits but you need the late type clutch arm bush (the grey one) ebay sell them so do burtons i think. Your rst speedo goes right in, you need to get a red speedo drive (ebay).

Gear change is very nice, and a few people have them with over 300brake and seem no to have broken them. Bigger bearings and a stiffer case seem to really help.

PS, the ratios seem a bit shite,

For standard rst ratios you need

The final drive out of an escort gti
The gear cassette out of a 1.4 mk4 fiesta
and the casings you have in that ebay add.

IMO the standard rst ratios are pretty good.

No problems, i never found the right one, i was in a rush and machined the wrong bearing out, but its not quiet

I believe Jaiscossy (i think his used name is...) has fitted one too, and he found the release bearing. Best thing to do is buy the box, have a measure and call a few companys.

Good stuff, I've got the part number for the one i have fitted (which had to be modified) i'll find it and pass it on. At least you will know thats wrong.

The seller was selling two models of box at one point so they may have different bearings?
